Hoskins also believes that having to get in and out of bed to get to your baby in the night is good for moms who might be otherwise reluctant to move while recovering from C-sections. If you don't move, the risk of blood clots in the legs increases. "An advantage of being forced to get up for the baby is that it forces the mother to move her legs — it's a big plus. However painful it can be, it's important for new moms to move rather than remaining in their hospital beds."

I just had a party with Monica Nickerson in West Allis, WI. She was the nicest, quickest to respond ...and most helpful women ever! She brought so many fun things to the show and was interested in what we needed. The show was perfect getting us ready for the holidays. I received the order and everything was beautiful! I’ll definitely be hosting again with Monica, she’s delightful and the products are amazing! See More https://i.pinimg.com/236x/3d/57/c1/3d57c18da97b0116d5e7344e684d5f26.jpg
One is a laptop bag that I liked and decided to turn into a diaper bag. It's about the same width and height, but it's only about 4" deep. It could use a few more pockets since it only has the one... the laptop compartment - I use it for diapers, wipes and changing pad. Everything else is in a jumbled heap in the main compartment. Eh, it works. Slightly annoying, but it works.
The Skip Hop Duo Signature, at 1¾ pounds, was one of the more lightweight bags we tested, yet it felt sturdy and durable despite being shoved, tossed, and dragged around at the beach, on a 5-hour plane ride, and to the pediatrician’s office. Like the better bags we considered, it can be carried multiple ways: An adjustable, padded strap is comfortable to carry on a shoulder, and its tote handles make it easy to set down on a floor (like the best bags we saw, it stands upright). The secret to its superior accessibility is a perfect combination of open and zippered pockets—it’s the most intuitive and effortless bag we saw for stowing and retrieving water bottles and toys at a moment’s notice, it can keep valuables secure, and it’s clear what goes where in the bag. A wipeable polyester interior is straightforward to clean; within five minutes we removed all evidence of spilled milk and crushed Cheerios left in the bag for 24 hours. With a strong rating across more than 1,000 Amazon user reviews, it’s extremely popular, and at its current price of about $50 to $60, it’s one of the most affordable bags we tested—plus, it has better overall features than other competitors we tested in its price range. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b3/ea/07/b3ea072d32eeb251ace1e7f676a98a68.jpg

The Baby By Thirty-One City Park Diaper Bag in Whisper Grey is a part of the new Baby by Thirty-One line and is way more than a diaper bag! All the functionality of a large diaper bag, but with the modern style of an urban tote. Lots of interior and exterior pockets, including a thermal zipper pocket and hidden cell phone pocket. Carry it as a tote, or sling it over your shoulder with the adjustable crossbody strap.
Once you finally get out the door, the real adventure begins! Why not be ready for anything by turning your vehicle into a mobile baby station? (We know – between the car seat, stroller, sun shades, backseat mirror and kid-friendly tunes, it kind of is already.) The Duo, which has been sold since 2003, has been a longtime best-seller from a company that makes almost two dozen different diaper bags. Just about every retailer we visited—chains, boutiques, and consignment stores, plus online retailers—carried this bag. Parents can pick from a dozen neutral or bold, graphic prints, and on some colors the interior is made of a light-colored fabric so that you can easily see what’s inside (not all diaper bags have gotten the memo on this). https://i.pinimg.com/236x/8e/cf/03/8ecf034c96a5f620f31ea86fd147eacd.jpg
I have a regular diaper bag (eddie bauer one) and I also have a utility tote from 31, that I got personalized for the baby, I got it thinking I may not use it as a bag for when he is real little as they seem to need more stuff, but to pack stuff up when we travel, like going to the beach as an extra bag, or to grandma's, aunts etc.. I love the 31 bags, they are nice and durable. If I wouldn't have gotten my diaper bag for a shower gift, then I probably would have just used the 31 bag as my everyday diaper bag!
We spent 14 hours researching online and off to first create a list of about 40 finalists, culled from the designer bags, cheap knock-offs, and dozens of other bags available. We then combed through hundreds of user reviews on Amazon, Babies“R”Us, Zappos, BuyBuy Baby, and Target, and read dozens more reviews by baby-gear experts and parent bloggers. We spoke in person with four local baby retailers and consignment stores about what their customers want, which brands they carry, and why.1 https://i.pinimg.com/236x/a5/6c/76/a56c7621770a2237f37c5a3cd97a2cea.jpg

One of the standout features of the Skip Hop Duo is its combination of 10 open and zippered pockets, which make it the easiest bag for storing and quickly grabbing whatever you need, from a water bottle to tissues to sunscreen. The bag has four external pockets that are great for accessing things one-handed. Two are large front pockets that stay closed magnetically and can hold bottles of milk, other snacks, or diapers and wipes. Competitors’ bags have similar pockets, but the Skip Hop’s stand out for their simple but clever magnetic closure. Two additional elastic mesh pockets on the sides of the bag are capable of securely carrying a baby bottle, a Thermos of coffee, a large adult water bottle, or a big container of sunscreen. We found few diaper bags that have two open, external water-bottle pockets big enough to hold a reusable adult water bottle. Like most diaper bags, the Skip Hop also has an external slot on the back for its included changing pad (which is machine washable).
Thirty One Gifts has affordable products for everyone, thanks to their large catalog. From small accessories like their $3 decorative nail file to the $60 large Elite Retro Metro bucket-style bag, there are several products at every price point. Thrifty shoppers are sure to love Thirty One Gifts' monthly customer specials and inexpensive organizational sets. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ae/00/0f/ae000ff562ff0603a2839d254b2f6111--free-gifts-september.jpg
My kids are no longer babies nor am I expecting, but my plans were to use this bag as an everyday bag/purse. The bag is large, but not overdoing it. The style and shape are honestly perfect and does not reflect the appearance of a standard diaper bag - which is why I believe it makes it so much more appealing. You have a lot of pockets and organization space, a HUGE plus whether you're a mom or just a busy woman always on the go. The outside of the bag has 5 large pouch pockets and 1 cell phone pouch, which is a signature design of Thirty-One bags. The way it is styled, you have 2 pouches on one part of the bag, one pouch on each side (perfect for drinks, bottles, etc), and then a large snap pouch on the back of the bag. Above that is where cell phone pouch is located. So a lot of places for when you have to "grab and drop" things in the bag and don't have time to actually put them away.
The solid colors of the Take Two Diaper Bag also make it a cinch to personalize – just choose your favorite thread color and font! Here’s a personalization tip: Your last name or initial work just as well as baby’s name on your diaper bag! The neutral colors also make it the perfect canvas for Icon-Its, or choose a new Floral Letter or Blackboard Initial monogram. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/6e/af/f6/6eaff67e48581ee6975b7fe0d402a29c--chiffon-prom-dresses-homecoming-dresses.jpg
From casual cinch sacks to smartly-designed wallets and bags, 31 Gifts (or T.O.G. as their consultants like to refer to it) has you covered wherever your day may take you. Savings-savvy office workers love the insulated totes, lunch sacks and zipper pouches that keep cold food and drinks fresh for break time, enabling them to save money by prepping their own lunches at home. Moms swear by the company’s oversized totes, stacked with plentiful pockets for diaper change necessities, coupons, favorite toys and more. Fashionistas dig the bright, colorful makeup bags and change purses, infused with both functionality and style to keep them on the cutting edge. With such a wide variety of bags, it’s very easy for a consultant to match party attendees to a product that works well for their lifestyle. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/63/98/67/63986718ddebadab436224a8b166f428.jpg
Another thing that sets it apart is a high-end look and feel as well as some additional features that are nice but not essential—there’s a set of luggage-style feet that keep the bag up off a dirty surface (a feature no other pick has). There’s a unique velvet pocket that protects your sunglasses, a keyring so you can find your keys in a snap, and two open insulated pockets that are nice for bottles (but honestly they were not amazing insulators). Plus, with details such as gold metal hardware, we thought the B.F.F. looked the most fashion-forward out of our top picks. The construction feels really robust, although you do see some occasional complaints of things breaking that really shouldn’t. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/4a/a6/73/4aa6739c9b90f355327830aa4fd481f8--mother-in-law-gifts-groom-gifts.jpg

This is one of the trendiest backpack diaper bags available on the market. One of our most popular Pinterest pins of all-time, moms are loving this diaper backpack's styling, features, and versatility. And it's not only available in the style we show to the right, it's also available in black, an adorably flower petal design, and jersey grey. And they all look like really stylish diaper bags; in fact, if it wasn't for their enormous size you might mistake it for a stylish little backpack. Of course, you'll probably have baby bottles sticking up out of the side pockets and pacifiers hanging from clips, so dead giveaway there too. Anyway, this is a feature rich diaper bag that doesn't just look great, it performs great as well. It has 7 pockets on the outside, including two insulated baby bottle pockets, zippered and lined top and side pockets for your keys and wallet, and convenient front pockets with flap closures. And when it arrived it was much bigger than we had assumed based on the pictures; the inside is really large and there are 10 different dividers and pockets for organizing all the stuff you'll be lugging around. It's really nice actually because the diaper bag stands on its own and the front zippered pocket opens up the entire front. But when you do so, it isn't just a big waterfall of your stuff falling forward and out onto the floor. It has a mesh liner on the lower half of the interior to keep things from falling out, and when you combine that with all the different pouches and zippered pockets, you can really do a nice job organizing things in here. There's enough space and dividers to separate diapers, wipes, extra clothing, pacifiers, extra bottles, and more. Speaking of changing diapers, it comes with a cute changing pad that folds up nicely, though it doesn't include any type of diaper/wipe holder for when you want to scurry off to the bathroom with the changing pad, a diaper and a couple wipes. Some other things that it does have, however, include stroller straps (but be careful to only use these on a stroller that is loaded with a baby who weighs enough to counteract the weight of the bag!), the use of vegan leather on the pockets and tassels (so you can look good and feel good about not harming animals to make your bag), and a carrying handle up top. We also loved the bottom, with its thick rubber feet that keep the bag stable and able to stand on its own, while also keeping the fabric material from ever touching the ground. That was pretty clever! Overall, everything worked pretty well and felt decent quality. The zippers weren't as rugged as you might expect from a bag that costs $150, and there are some reports online about seams splitting or ripping after several months of use. We haven't had that issue, but we'll update this review if we do. Also, the shoulder pads could be a bit more comfortable for when you're carrying it for longer periods of time. So overall, if you must have this style and are willing to fork over the cash to get it, this is definitely a trendy diaper bag that is not only super cute but also surprisingly functional and well-designed. This is one of the biggest bang-for-the-buck diaper bags on this list, with great style and functionality. Note that if you don't like the pinkish coral color, it comes in a ton of additional styles. This diaper bag is a hand-tote that converts into a comfortable diaper backpack. It's very large, though not as large as the SkipHop or SOHO, but it's definitely large and functional enough for most purposes. What we loved about it is that it's only like 35 bucks, and it has some features that make it competitive with the best bags on this list. It has side pockets, one of which has a slit in it so it can dispense baby wipes! It also has a zippered mom pocket on the outside that can fit keys and a phone, and the top zippered compartment is really quite big and well-divided into a main space for diapers, cloths, clothing, toys, etc. It also has a zippered mom pocket on the inside, and an insulated zippered baby bottle pocket on the front that can fit up to 3 bottles (mostly the modern short and wide ones, not the classic tall and narrow ones). It has a clever way of dividing its space, as you can use the front pocket for just bottles, or you can push it back into the main compartment and use it for much larger things. That will end up being a separate space at the bottom of the main compartment, and this works out well because it brings the bottom of the main compartment up much higher (which makes it less likely to lose things in the depth). Overall, we found this diaper backpack to be really excellent for the relatively low price. Don't expect super high quality hand-feel for the fabrics at this price, or expect anything fancy like stroller straps or removable zippered pockets, but we think you'll be surprised with what they've pulled off! So why buy an actual diaper bag? They’re thoughtfully designed with right-size pockets for essential baby gear, and made with tough material that’s easy to clean—inevitably, milk or juice will spill inside, and crushed crackers will find their way into crevices. Mine has been tossed around in my car, dumped on park benches and dragged across wet grass. I once accidentally left a banana peel in it for a few days. “The diaper bag is for the diapering years,” said Meg Collins, founder of Lucie’s List, a blog that recommends essential baby products for new parents. “It’s meant to keep you organized and sane. You have go-to pockets for your keys, diapers and wipes. You don’t have to think or fumble.” That just may help you escape the house a little more quickly.
"As a single parent of two children going to school full time, I wouldn't be able to come to school and afford for childcare," says Michelle Trinidad, a student at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and parent to a 4 and 5-year-old. "Thank goodness for BMCC Early Childhood Center that is very much affordable. It gives me the opportunity to advance my career and be confident that my son is in good hands. School is hard enough on its own, having reliable child care means a lot to me and my children." https://i.pinimg.com/236x/7d/28/b0/7d28b0ee85cb3ac8bc7457dd036a192f--summer-prints--bags.jpg
The DadGear Backpack used to be one of our also-great picks but it was discontinued. We liked the bag’s large size and clever storage (like a chamber dedicated to dispensing wipes.) The DadGear’s flaps zipped open all the way—more like a suitcase than a typical handbag—making dumping out crumbs and cleaning easier. If you somehow manage to get your hands on one we still think it makes a great purchase. https://i.pinimg.com/280x280_RS/18/c2/ea/18c2ea7b3d186e423df19d84977ecfad.jpg

Then, you have two ways of carrying the bag. You have the padded shoulder straps, which are quite comfortable to wear when it's loaded down might I add. Then you also have the adjustable crossbody strap which clips on and off. I love this because I keep it in my bag for when I may need to give my shoulder a break and you don't have to leave it attached. Nothing worse than an attached long strap just hanging from the bag! So that is certainly not an issue. The clips the strap attaches to can also adjust as a clip ring - as in attaching keys using the Thirty-One Hang-It-Up Key Fob. This is a great way to prevent losing your keys! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/b1/63/4b/b1634ba7a7fab3716f2216befbe1d376--adult-party-games-laughter.jpg
After applying our criteria, we ended up with a list of a dozen bags to test. As soon as the bags arrived, we examined the overall design, features, and pocket structure carefully. Then my husband and I spent six weeks carrying the bags daily in everyday life, using each bag for at least two days and the best ones for far longer than that (I’m a 5-foot-3 woman; my husband is 5-foot-10). We were consistent in how we packed each one. We kept it to the basics: a few diapers, a travel pack of wipes, a change of clothing for our 18-month old son, an insulated lunch bag with snacks (usually crackers, Cheerios, granola bars, and oranges), a 16.9-ounce disposable water bottle, sunscreen, toys (usually a toy car or two), tissue, hand sanitizer, a smartphone, wallet, and keys.
We’re not the first to give the Skip Hop Duo high marks: Baby Bargains selected it as the best diaper bag of 2017, BabyList called it one of its best picks of 2017, and Meg Collins of Lucie’s List named it among her favorites. It is among the most popular diaper bags on Amazon, averaging just over 4.5 stars (out of five) across more than 1,000 reviews as of summer 2017. Although few would mistake it for some of the $200-and-up diaper bag options out there, its style is sophisticated for what it is. One Wirecutter staffer seeing it for the first time said it looked most similar to our upgrade pick, “with fewer bells and whistles”—a strong endorsement considering she didn’t yet know that this cost about a third of the price of the other bag. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/63/a5/f4/63a5f46c3de9c808545c1daa2e1cc351--thirty-one-fall-thirty-one-gifts.jpg

To find you the most stylish and functional diaper bag of 2019, we put 27 diaper bags to the test! We stuffed them with baby products, tossed them on the ground, tried out the insulated baby bottle pockets, spilled milk in them, forced the zipper open and shut, and put a 25-pound weight inside to make sure the fabric and straps were durable and comfortable. We found about a dozen great diaper bags, most of which come in several different colors and patterns - so don't judge only by the picture we provide! Here are the top 5 diaper bags we found, followed by in-depth reviews of about a dozen different options. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/24/f6/02/24f6021fce32c5506f4427dbec59e8f7--makeup-quotes-happiness.jpg
Being able to tote around key essentials means you can deal with whatever scenario arises without having to pack up and head home. That being said, you can use a regular backpack or tote bag to cart around what your child needs. You can even slip a changing clutch—a folded changing pad you can tuck diapers and the bare essentials inside of—into your usual bag. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/16/ca/71/16ca71ef8e887fc76d7bb1cfc4370bc2.jpg
