Reasonably priced and widely available. You can find diaper bags for as little as $15 and as much as $1,500. We opted for a middle ground, and set a maximum price of $200. We focused on popular bags commonly found at major retailers such as Babies“R”Us, BuyBuy Baby, Target, and Amazon. We didn’t find much for $25 and under. “Don’t get taken by a cheap one, because it’s going to fall apart and you’ll need to buy something else,” Meg Collins, founder of Lucie’s List, told us. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/b0/10/63/b010636f74d0d567f4c3c58cdd763a79--thirty-one-organizations.jpg
Another thing that sets it apart is a high-end look and feel as well as some additional features that are nice but not essential—there’s a set of luggage-style feet that keep the bag up off a dirty surface (a feature no other pick has). There’s a unique velvet pocket that protects your sunglasses, a keyring so you can find your keys in a snap, and two open insulated pockets that are nice for bottles (but honestly they were not amazing insulators). Plus, with details such as gold metal hardware, we thought the B.F.F. looked the most fashion-forward out of our top picks. The construction feels really robust, although you do see some occasional complaints of things breaking that really shouldn’t. https://i.pinimg.com/280x280_RS/04/8e/7b/048e7b71ae97caacc3b4b20071452cef.jpg
We’re not the first to give the Skip Hop Duo high marks: Baby Bargains selected it as the best diaper bag of 2017, BabyList called it one of its best picks of 2017, and Meg Collins of Lucie’s List named it among her favorites. It is among the most popular diaper bags on Amazon, averaging just over 4.5 stars (out of five) across more than 1,000 reviews as of summer 2017. Although few would mistake it for some of the $200-and-up diaper bag options out there, its style is sophisticated for what it is. One Wirecutter staffer seeing it for the first time said it looked most similar to our upgrade pick, “with fewer bells and whistles”—a strong endorsement considering she didn’t yet know that this cost about a third of the price of the other bag. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/63/a5/f4/63a5f46c3de9c808545c1daa2e1cc351--thirty-one-fall-thirty-one-gifts.jpg
No matter which style you choose, you should think about how you'll be able to put it onto one of our best strollers: down in the stroller's basket, or would you like to hang it on the stroller's handlebars? If the latter, you should go ahead and buy a diaper bag that includes stroller straps, like several of our top-rated bags. We suspect you'll use that feature a lot. Of course, always use caution when hanging the diaper bag on the handlebars of your stroller: when you take your baby out, the stroller will flip over backwards (unless the bag is super light)! So definitely make sure that the stroller you choose has a nice large basket to fit your diaper bag.

This is our highest-ranking convertible diaper bag, and we love the style and functionality of this versatile and relatively unisex diaper bag system. The bag converts from a regular over-the-shoulder diaper bag, to a messenger bag, and to a super comfortable backpack with soft shoulder pads. So just when your arm or shoulder is getting sore, you can untuck the backpack straps from the side pocket, and off you go, in style and comfort. But it's not just versatile. This diaper bag is also super functional. It has outside and inside pockets, 3M baby bottle insulator pockets, and clever see-through plastic pockets inside so you can see what you're looking for before you go searching. It's relatively small, but we found it big enough for one baby, and the fact that you can open the main compartment nice and wide really helps you fit all your things in (and prevents you from randomly searching for things). But it does have a few drawbacks, given its high price (like $170). For this price, we would expect a bit higher quality on the fabrics and zippers. They're good, but not quite on par with the heavier duty zippers of a SOHO bag, or the easy-clean fabrics of a SkipHop bag. So while it's on our list of best diaper bags, and we think it's worthy of inclusion, these drawbacks will keep it a bit lower in our reviews and ratings. Interested? The Nightlight selected the B.F.F. as the best diaper bag and Lucie’s List named it one of its top picks in 2017. It comes in nearly 50 patterns and colors that range from the prim to the nautical, to the adorable (yes, the bag comes in more than one Hello Kitty pattern). In online reviews, owners (mostly moms) rave about the design of its pockets and how easy the bag is to clean. And though there are some complaints that it’s not roomy enough, others say it has plenty of space, even for cloth diapers. “We tried SO many diaper bags before finally investing in this one,” said one owner. “This bag fit all the criteria and more! I can easily fit my cloth diapers, extra outfits, everything for me, her jacket, water bottle, snacks for me, and so much more. I love that it is so easy to care for this bag and I can toss it in the wash.”
We ultimately used the diaper bags in nearly 50 real-world settings in two states, including on airplanes, at the beach, at the mall, at Costco, at an amusement park (where birds landed on the diaper bags and pecked at them), and at the zoo, playgrounds, restaurants, a kids soccer game, museums, the doctor’s office, and the pool. Almost all the diaper bags traveled with us during a family vacation to Hawaii, where it was humid, sandy, occasionally rainy, and about 85 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit on most days. We hung the bags on our stroller—which indeed tipped over several times, though luckily not with the baby strapped inside it!—during long walks, and slung it over our shoulders or backs the rest of the time. In the majority of our outings, we changed the baby’s diaper to see how manageable it would be to set up the changing pad and reach the diapers and wipes.
I just had a party with Monica Nickerson in West Allis, WI. She was the nicest, quickest to respond ...and most helpful women ever! She brought so many fun things to the show and was interested in what we needed. The show was perfect getting us ready for the holidays. I received the order and everything was beautiful! I’ll definitely be hosting again with Monica, she’s delightful and the products are amazing! See More
I have a JJ Cole bag, it's about the perfect size... maybe a little big now that DS is getting older and doesn't require so much stuff. It's 17" wide x 13" tall x 6" deep. I gave that one to my mom so she has a diaper bag (she watches DS during the day). It worked, but I never really did like it. I don't really like the tote style bags. I think they're kinda awkward. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/0e/b1/e3/0eb1e3174f0cce27aa234a00156559c1--fossil-handbags-fossils.jpg
This is one of the trendiest backpack diaper bags available on the market. One of our most popular Pinterest pins of all-time, moms are loving this diaper backpack's styling, features, and versatility. And it's not only available in the style we show to the right, it's also available in black, an adorably flower petal design, and jersey grey. And they all look like really stylish diaper bags; in fact, if it wasn't for their enormous size you might mistake it for a stylish little backpack. Of course, you'll probably have baby bottles sticking up out of the side pockets and pacifiers hanging from clips, so dead giveaway there too. Anyway, this is a feature rich diaper bag that doesn't just look great, it performs great as well. It has 7 pockets on the outside, including two insulated baby bottle pockets, zippered and lined top and side pockets for your keys and wallet, and convenient front pockets with flap closures. And when it arrived it was much bigger than we had assumed based on the pictures; the inside is really large and there are 10 different dividers and pockets for organizing all the stuff you'll be lugging around. It's really nice actually because the diaper bag stands on its own and the front zippered pocket opens up the entire front. But when you do so, it isn't just a big waterfall of your stuff falling forward and out onto the floor. It has a mesh liner on the lower half of the interior to keep things from falling out, and when you combine that with all the different pouches and zippered pockets, you can really do a nice job organizing things in here. There's enough space and dividers to separate diapers, wipes, extra clothing, pacifiers, extra bottles, and more. Speaking of changing diapers, it comes with a cute changing pad that folds up nicely, though it doesn't include any type of diaper/wipe holder for when you want to scurry off to the bathroom with the changing pad, a diaper and a couple wipes. Some other things that it does have, however, include stroller straps (but be careful to only use these on a stroller that is loaded with a baby who weighs enough to counteract the weight of the bag!), the use of vegan leather on the pockets and tassels (so you can look good and feel good about not harming animals to make your bag), and a carrying handle up top. We also loved the bottom, with its thick rubber feet that keep the bag stable and able to stand on its own, while also keeping the fabric material from ever touching the ground. That was pretty clever! Overall, everything worked pretty well and felt decent quality. The zippers weren't as rugged as you might expect from a bag that costs $150, and there are some reports online about seams splitting or ripping after several months of use. We haven't had that issue, but we'll update this review if we do. Also, the shoulder pads could be a bit more comfortable for when you're carrying it for longer periods of time. So overall, if you must have this style and are willing to fork over the cash to get it, this is definitely a trendy diaper bag that is not only super cute but also surprisingly functional and well-designed.
